Mage Alert — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This policy describes how Talon Forge ("we," "us," "our"), the trade name of Rock2head Ventures LLC, handles information in connection with Mage Alert, a companion app that tracks in-game deadlines for Splinterlands and sends reminder notifications. Mage Alert is an unofficial companion app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Splinterlands.
What we collect
- Splinterlands username. You provide this so the app can look up your public in-game data (Season, Guild Brawl, Conflict status) to calculate deadlines. We never ask for or store your Splinterlands password, private keys, or any account credentials.
- Device push notification token. A unique identifier issued by Apple, Google, or your web browser, used solely to deliver push notifications to your device.
- Notification preferences and custom timers. Settings you configure yourself — quiet hours, notification thresholds, and any custom timers you create, including the names you give them. Timer names are visible only to you; please don't put personal information in them.
- A record of notifications we've sent. A copy of each notification sent to your device, kept so you don't get the same reminder twice. It's deleted along with the rest of your data.
- Time zone. Taken from your device so reminders arrive at the right local time. This is not your precise location.
- Basic device/platform information. Which platform you're using (web, iOS, or Android), so notifications are formatted correctly.
- A device identifier used to protect the free trial. So that reinstalling the app doesn't restart the free trial, the app sends a device identifier to our servers, where it is immediately converted into a one-way scrambled value (a hash) before being stored. On Android this is your device's Android ID; on iPhone and iPad it is a random value the app creates itself. We never store or log the original, and the stored value can't be used to identify you or your device anywhere else.
- Subscription status. If you use Mage Alert Pro, we store when your free trial began and when your subscription is due to renew or end. We never see or store payment details — payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google.
- When you last opened the app. Used to stop sending notifications to a device that seems to be no longer in use, and to decide when a device's data can be deleted after a long period without use (see Deleting your data).
We do not collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information beyond what's listed above.
How we use this information
Solely to determine your upcoming Splinterlands deadlines, deliver the notifications you've asked for, provide Mage Alert Pro if you subscribe, and, if a device has gone unused for a long time, send one notification before deleting its data. We do not use your information for advertising and do not build behavioral profiles. Mage Alert contains no third-party analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or tracking software.
Who receives your information
- Splinterlands. To show your deadlines, the app contacts Splinterlands directly from your device, using your username, whenever it refreshes your data. These requests do not pass through our servers, so Splinterlands receives your username together with your IP address, as happens when you visit any website. How Splinterlands handles that information is governed by its own privacy policy.
- Google Firebase. We use Google Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting, and Cloud Messaging) to store your data and deliver notifications. Google acts as our infrastructure provider under our direction. Like any internet service, its infrastructure logs the IP address of requests.
- RevenueCat. If you subscribe to Mage Alert Pro, we use RevenueCat to verify purchases with Apple and Google. We send RevenueCat only an anonymous identifier for your installation. RevenueCat's software also collects standard device information such as device model and operating system version.
- Apple and Google. Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, which process payment and keep their own records. The app also uses Apple App Attest and Google Play Integrity to confirm that requests come from a genuine copy of the app.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any advertiser, data broker, or other third party beyond those listed above.
How long we keep it
We keep your settings and timers for as long as you use the app. You can delete them yourself at any time, and we automatically delete a device's data after 12 months without use — both are described under Deleting your data below.
When your data is deleted, we keep only the small record described under Deleting your data below.
Our server logs, which can include your device's random ID, are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Subscriptions
Mage Alert Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store or Google Play. It renews automatically unless you cancel before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings; we cannot cancel, change, or refund subscriptions.
Your choices
You can change your username, notification settings, or custom timers at any time in the app, and turn notifications off in your device settings. To delete your data, open Settings in the app — see Deleting your data below.
Deleting your data
Delete it yourself, anytime. In Mage Alert, open Settings and tap Delete My Data. This immediately deletes the data stored for that phone or browser, including anything left over from earlier installs of Mage Alert on the same phone. It can't be undone. Because Mage Alert has no accounts, deleting from the device itself is how we know the request really comes from you. It also means your deletion never affects anyone else who tracks the same Splinterlands username on their own device.
If you stop using Mage Alert. We automatically delete a device's data after 12 months without use. The 12 months start from whichever is later: the last time you opened the app, or the end of any Pro subscription or free trial. If notifications are turned on, we'll first send one notification giving you 14 days to open the app if you'd like to keep your settings. Data for a device with an active Pro subscription or free trial is never deleted this way.
What we delete: your Splinterlands username, your settings (tracked activities, notification thresholds, and quiet hours), your custom timers and their names, your device's notification token, and the record of notifications we've sent it.
What we keep: so that deletion can't be used to restart the free trial, we keep a small record containing the scrambled device value described above, the date your free trial began, and a random identifier for your former installation. This record can't be linked back to you, and we keep it indefinitely for this purpose only.
What this doesn't cover: purchase and subscription records held by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat are kept by those companies under their own policies. Deleting your Mage Alert data does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Requests your device previously sent to Splinterlands are handled under Splinterlands' own privacy policy.
Emailing us about deletion: if you email support@talonforge.io asking us to delete your data, we'll point you to the steps above. Without accounts, we have no way to confirm which device is yours, so we don't delete data based on a username. Doing that could delete data belonging to someone else.
Children's privacy
Mage Alert is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above.
